October 5–7 | Clinical Congress 2025 | Chicago, IL

The ACSDivision of Education and its Surgical Ergonomics Committee will host the fourth ACSSurgical Ergonomics Hands-On Clinic for practicing surgeons and surgery residents during Clinical Congress 2025, October 5–7.

The Surgical Ergonomics Clinic will be located in the Exhibit Hall and feature three simulation stations with open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery equipment to offer hands-on learning experiences in surgical ergonomics. Ergonomic coaches will help participating surgeons learn about the recently revised ACSSurgical Ergonomics Recommendations and apply the recommendations in a simulated environment at each station. Before visiting and learning at the hands-on stations, participants will be introduced to ergonomics for surgery via a half-hour lecture. In addition, a certified physical therapist will share different stretching exercise protocols that can be implemented in the operating room, between cases, or at home. This unique, hands-on learning opportunity with the Surgical Ergonomics Recommendations is part of our overall effort to positively impact ergonomic challenges experienced by surgeons worldwide.
