Introducing the ACSSurgical Patient Education Toolkit

March 4, 2022

The ACS(Å˽ðÁ«´«Ã½Ó³») has unveiled a new toolkit designed to deliver patient education directly through email, text, or a health portal. The toolkit includes access to all ACSPatient Education resources. More than 200 titles are available to print, display on the website of the subscriber, or deliver electronically to help patients understand surgical procedures and their participation in their perioperative care.

All brochures, surgical cancer training, and skills-based videos are included, as well as patient education resources from federal health agencies and institutes, including the National Institutes of Health; National Cancer Institute; and National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. Subscribers may control the titles displayed and may select specific patient education content. The toolkit can be personalized with professional practice information and reside on practice websites for convenient patient access.

For more information and to subscribe, visit the ACSwebsite to learn about the Patient Education Toolkit. Contact the ACSSurgical Patient Education Program at surgicalpatienteducation@facs.org or 312-202-5566 with any questions.
