Take Advantage of Peer Experiences with ACSColleague Connection

September 9, 2025

As an ACSFellow, you are part of a large network of colleagues, colleagues who can lend a listening ear and help guide you through issues that they’ve been through themselves. Peer support programs have been shown to reduce burnout in physicians and improve their overall well-being, which is why ACScreated Colleague Connection.

Colleague Connection is an exclusive member benefit that represents an opportunity for surgeons to seek guidance and support from trained Fellows who have experience in patient care, practice management, education, wellness, and other areas related to surgical practice, including guidance after being part of an adverse patient event.

Through Colleague Connection, you will be matched with a surgeon who provides a listening ear in a completely confidential and safe conversation. The connection is intended to be a one- to two-session exchange to discuss a particular problem, provide advice on an issue, and/or offer additional direction.

For more information or assistance with accessing Colleague Connection, contact Member Services at ms@facs.org.
